Everything you'll want to know for Adams Morgan Spring PorchFest

The festival features classic rock, funk, go-go, rap, reggae, bluegrass, classical and pop musicians playing on 20 porches, business patios and parks.

WASHINGTON — PorchFest returns to Adams Morgan on Saturday, May 4 giving outdoor music festival fans the chance to see around 80 bands showcase some of the best talent D.C. has to offer in nearly every musical genre.

The festival features classic rock, funk, go-go, rap, reggae, bluegrass, classical and pop musicians playing on 20 porches, business patios, parks and the closed 18th Street will become stages for the day.

The festival will hold performances from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. Those who wish to attend can pick up a music map and free wristband at three different headquarters locations:

  • The plaza in front of Truist Bank at the corner of Columbia and Adams Mill Roads NW
  • In front of 2424 18th Street NW inside the road closure
  • In the Marie Reed Elementary School Plaza in front of the Recreation Center located at 2200 Champlain St NW

The wristbands will also give festival attendees dozens of discounts at various businesses. Once procuring a wristband, attendees can stroll through the neighborhood for what organizers call "nonstop musical performances."

A full list of businesses and discounts can be found on the PorchFest website

Each of the 20 performance locations will host up to four 45-minute sets, all of which will be free and open for all to enjoy. This year, organizers added three main stages:

  • The Plaza Main Stage in front of Truist Bank
  • The Aetna Main Stage at 2424 18th Street within the 18th Street closure
  • The Marie Reed Stage in Marie Reed Elementary School’s Plaza

A full lineup of performers and their locations can be found at AdMoPorchFest.com.
