It looks like the piano skills Ryan Gosling developed for La La Land aren't going to waste!
The Oscar-nominated actor, who starred as a talented jazz pianist in the acclaimed musical, is putting his nimble fingers to work in director Terrance Malick's latest romantic drama, Song to Song.
Billboard recently revealed a clip from Gosling's new project, in which the handsome star has traded in his piano for a Casio keyboard while performing a duet with Swedish indie-pop artist Lykke Li in her feature film debut.
The film -- which also stars Rooney Mara, Michael Fassbender, Natalie Portman, Cate Blanchett, Val Kilmer and Holly Hunter -- tells the story of two musician couples trying to navigate the Austin, Texas, music scene and their own tumultuous relationships.
Given the rock-and-roll backdrop of the film, it only makes sense that several major musicians make cameo appearances as themselves, including Florence Welch, Patti Smith, Iggy Pop, and Red Hot Chili Peppers' Flea.
Song to Song, which premiered at the South by Southwest Music and Film Festival in Austin last week, hits theaters in limited release on Friday.
