Last week, the Ghostbusters reboot released their new version of the iconic theme song, covered by Fall Out Boy featuring Missy Elliott, and reactions were... mixed.

I'm all for Ghostbusters 2016, but that Fall Out Boy cover of the theme is a crime against nature. And I say that as a fan of Fall Out Boy.

But who ya gonna call for an even more epic rendering of Ray Parker Jr.'s 1984 classic? Japan, apparently.
In keeping with the girl-powered theme of the upcoming remake, Sony Pictures Japan recruited four female comedians to team up for a hilarious cover of the Ghostbusters theme, complete with a retro neon picture frame tribute to Parker Jr.'s original music video.
The track even got the seal of approval from the reboot's director, Paul Feig.
"I couldn't love this more," Feig tweeted on Monday. "I had no idea they had even made this but I'm so happy they did. So much fun."

It's pretty epic, but we are still a little bummed that we won't get to see the rebooted theme song that the stars of the remake -- Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones -- promised when ET visited the set.
"Kate plays the flute," Wiig said with a laugh.
"It's the piccolo, thank you," the Saturday Night Live star replied, as her co-stars chimed in on triangle and jazz sax.
