Rapper Wale Welcomes Baby Girl Zyla Moon: 'I'm Infinitely in Love With My Princess'

Congrats to rapper Wale and his girlfriend Claudia Alexis Jourdan!

The two welcomed their first child together, a daughter named Zyla Moon Oluwakemmi, on Friday.

Wale took to Instagram to announce the newborn's arrival, and it's clear by his post that he couldn't be happier to be a father.

"Overjoyed," he began an emotional post on Friday. "I named by album SHiNE when I knew my baby girl was on the way."

"I want to be a better man than I ever been…I'm infinitely in love with my princess," he wrote. "Imma keep working on me and pray to God I can design a young princess who flourishes to an absolute queen."

Wale also touched on his choice to remain private about Jourdan's pregnancy this time around. The 31-year-old rapper went through a miscarriage in 2015. "I spoke on the downward spiral that ensued after complications with my previous child," he explained. "For that reason I kept this very private as I prayed every day to receive this blessing."

"You are my everything and I'll see to it we SHiNE my precious Zyla," he concluded the sweet post.

Overjoyed . I keep the most important things in my life so far away from people because I'm sensitive . Quite possibly too sensitive to even be in this business nevertheless I spoke on the downward spiral that ensued after complications with my previous child... The rapper also took to Twitter to boast about his little girl.
