The Muscular Dystrophy Association announced on Monday the launch of a multifaceted digital awareness and fundraising campaign to kick off their new "Live Unlimited" movement with a 12-hour celebration of music, which will feature such artists as X Ambassadors, Billy Ray Cyrus, JoJo, American Authors, Magic!, Steve Aoki, Megan Nicole, Tiffany Alvord, Lauren Alaina, and Spring Awakenings star Katie Boeck livestreaming special "Live Unlimited" performances on their own Facebook pages.
ET's very own Nancy O'Dell has been an active MDA supporter since her mother, Betty Humphries, died in 2008. Nancy immediately signed on to be a National ALS Ambassador for the MDA and launched Betty's Battle, a foundation that raises funds for ALS research and helps educate families affected by the disease. She has also co-hosted the organization's iconic telethon for three years in a row. In 2011, she helped raise more than $60 million.
"It's an honor to help raise awareness for those affected by muscular dystrophy, ALS and related diseases by being a part of the Muscular Dystrophy Association's new Live Unlimited campaign," said singer JoJo, who performed on Monday on MDA's Facebook page.

"Music lets me live without limits and I want to inspire others to do the same. My hope is to bring a smile to someone who's facing these challenges today," JoJo commented.
The six-week campaign will also include unique #LiveUnlimited stories, which started on Monday and will continue throughout the campaign. Celebrities, artists, athletes and digital influencers -- including Carly Rae Jepsen, Matt Espinosa, Aidan Alexander, Matt Santoro, Bart Baker, Ernie Johnson, Mario Lopez, Olympians Shannon Miller, Nadia Comaneci and Bart Conner as well as O'Dell -- will share how they #LiveUnlimited in their own words. Be sure to follow these names to hear their stories!
MDA is leading the fight to free individuals from the harm of muscular dystrophy, ALS and related muscle-debilitating diseases that take away physical strength, independence and life.
From June 20 through July 31, a generous sponsor will donate $1 for every #LiveUnlimited moment shared at mda.org/LiveUnlimited.
