Devoted Washington Redskins fan Matthew McConaughey traveled to Landover, Maryland, for the team's season opener against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday, where even the players were starstruck.
What's more, the Oscar winner walked the sidelines at FedEx Field with his wife Camila Alves before kickoff to graciously chat with the players and take pictures. Rookie linebacker Su'a Cravens even got McConaughey's autograph!

"First NFL game. First prime time game. AND he meets @McConaughey?!" the Redskins tweeted on Monday. "Okay @Sua_Cravens."

Alright, alright, alright. Look who's in the house in a special made burgundy suit. @McConaughey ftw. pic.twitter.com/0O7y2bp2uK

McConaughey scribbled his John Hancock while decked out in a three-piece suit sporting the Redskins colors -- burgundy and gold. The 46-year-old actor told Breaking Burgundy's Ben Standig that the ensemble was "special-made" just for that game.
Legendary Redskins quarterback Joe Theismann also snapped a pic with McConaughey, tweeting, "Getting ready to watch the game w/Matthew."

While McConaughey's presence seemed to give a morality boost to the players, it wasn't enough to propel them through their 38-16 loss against the Steelers.
In addition to McConaughey, fellow celebs Kevin Durant and Maury Povich were also in attendance for Monday's game.
