Demi Lovato and John Mayer had a bit of a reunion over the weekend.
The musicians were spotted getting close at Los Angeles hotspot Catch LA in West Hollywood on Saturday, where they caught up for about an hour. Mayer and Lovato previously worked together to co-write the song "World of Chances" for Lovato's 2009 album, Here We Go Again.
An on-site source tells ET that "John and Demi came in separate groups," but that Lovato joined Mayer's table, where he was sitting with Fuller House star Bob Saget.
"John was complimenting her music and she looked excited while talking to him," the source continues. "They were closely talking for about an hour."
A second source echoed the intel, saying: "They didn't come together. They just spoke for an hour and that was it."
Mayer certainly seems to be coming off a busy weekend! The 39-year-old also stepped out on Sunday evening to celebrate Drake's birthday at Delilah in West Hollywood, where he partied alongside ex-girlfriends Katy Perry and Taylor Swift, as well as Jamie Foxx, French Montana, Shay Mitchell, Zoe Kravitz, and Drake's dad, Dennis Graham.
All those festivities come while Mayer is plotting a return to pop music. "Mixes and meetings and photo shoots and finishing touches," he tweeted last week. "Pop Music I'm comin' back..."
Meanwhile, Mayer also recently revealed that he's "single" and "excited about the future" in an interview on Andy Cohen's Watch What Happens Live.
"Ya know, this is the best way to put it. I'm ready to roll," he said of his dating life. "I'm older and more mature than I've ever been and the stage is set. The stage is set. There's nobody on the stage."
Coincidentally, Lovato also seems to still be flying solo after splitting from longtime beau Wilmer Valderrama this summer. (Hey, we're just putting it out there!)
