There's a whole lot of girl power going on in Hollywood right now -- just ask Brie Larson.
The 27-year-old actress stuns on the cover of Vanity Fair, but inside the magazine, reveals that she wasn't always so put-together. In fact, Larson credits her friendships with Emma Stone and Jennifer Lawrence for saving her life.
The blonde beauty, who had been working as an actress for nearly two decades, became a household name (and Oscar winner) with 2015's Room, but says that during the film's relentless publicity tour, she felt "lonely and bad sometimes" and was "embarrassed to keep talking about [herself]." It was then that fellow actresses Stone and Lawrence reached out to her.
"Emma wrote this beautiful e-mail out of nowhere, and then one day Jen sent me a text message after she saw Room, and we started talking," Larson reveals, adding that Lena Dunham and Amy Schumer have also become good friends. "That [group of friends] saved my life."
"I was able to talk with them about everything that was going on in my life, and it was with people who had been through it before and are also hilarious. That support and acceptance was everything," she says. "I was home-schooled, so I didn't have friends that had the same interests as me, and I found it to be absolutely incredible."
Larson's friendship with Stone made headlines in February, after the La La Land star won Best Actress at the Academy Awards. The friends shared an adorable, emotional hug backstage, in a touching moment Larson shared to Instagram.
"You know what's better than winning? Watching your friends win. @theacademy," she wrote.

ET caught up with Larson later that night, when she called the experience "surreal.
"It's so strange because I think it's such a surreal moment," she said of winning an Oscar. "It was surreal for me last year, it was surreal for me this year, as a way of this kind of cycle closing and this new one starting of my friend that I love so much."
"I'm so proud of her," she added. "We support each other through everything."
