Pohick Bay Regional Park, VA (WUSA 9) -- Dreams for Kids DC (DFKDC) is hosting their seventh annual adaptive waterskiing and tubing clinic for children with physical and developmental disabilities. The clinic will take place Saturday, July 11, 2015.

Come hang out and enjoy some sun in the fun from 10am to 3:30pm at Pohick Bay Regional Park in Lorton Virginia.

Children will get to waterski, tube, canoe, paddle boat, go through an obstacle course and design their own jewelry. All children will get the opportunity to sit in an adaptive waterski, which will be assisted by professional waterskiiers and pulled to full speed-- allowing the children to experience the thrill of waterskiing, whether they have use of their legs or not.

Parent Lorraine Sawka, mother of participant Erin Sawka, shared her feelings from last years clinic and excitement to return this year: "This was Erin's first year participating and she absolutely loved the tubing and waterskiing! She couldn't stop giggling. She can't wait to do it again next year!! Our Volunteer, Kristin, was great! Everyone volunteering was so friendly and helpful. The event was so well organized and coordinated. We look forward to next year! Thank you!"

A big thanks to sponsors Hoffmaster's Marina, On the Edge Children's Foundation, and the Arnold F Baggins Foundation for making this inspiring event possible. DFKDC Executive Director has stated that there have been attendees from as far as Pennsylvania and New York.
