WASHINGTON — Wisdom Martin is the morning anchor on the WUSA 9 morning show Get Up DC 425am -7am. Martin has anchored and reported in Washington DC since 2003.

He has covered it all in the DMV. He was first reporter on the scene for the Emmy Award-winning live coverage of serial bank robbers in Washington. He reported live from Miami on the murder of NFL player Sean Taylor and from New Orleans, covering the devastation of Hurricane Katrina, as well as several presidential inaugurations.
Wisdom is a proud graduate of Jackson State University and has covered news and sports in Jackson Mississippi (WAPT) Fresno, California (KSEE), North Carolina (WRAL), Nashville (WKRN) and CNN in Atlanta.
Wisdom is a published author of “Pass Interference: The history of the black quarterback in the NFl” and “Conventional Wisdom” vol. 1 and 2 . When he is not working , he enjoys speaking at schools and other community events, loves to try his hand at cooking , works out at the gym and most importantly spends time with his wife and 3 kids.
