WASHINGTON — So you want to get vaccinated against COVID-19, but need to know how to book an appointment. You’re in the right place.
Anyone 12 and up is eligible to get Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccine in the U.S. Those 18 and up have their choice of the Pfizer, Moderna or Johnson and Johnson vaccine.
Here's all the information you need to schedule an appointment in DC, Maryland and Virginia.
DC
You can get the shot at walk-up sites throughout the district.
There's no appointment needed for your first dose, but you'll make an appointment for your second dose.

You can also get vaccinated at pharmacies, clinics and health care providers around the district. To find those vaccine opportunities near you, click here.
You can also book an appointment through CVS Pharmacy.
If you are a hospital patient, veteran, health center patient or 16-17 year old district resident, follow the instructions below:
- Visit vaccinate.dc.gov
- Scroll down to find the instructions for your category.
Need transportation? Visit the same website above and scroll down to the “Need Transportation?” section. The District’s Medicaid Managed Care Organizations (MCOs) cover all transportation, free of charge, to and from appointments.
If you can't leave your home, call 855-363-0333 and they will come to you.
Maryland
There are many ways to schedule a vaccine in Maryland. Here they are, listed below.
- Schedule an appointment here.
- Call the State Vaccine Support Center at 1-855-634-6829. It's open 7 days a week, 7 a.m. - 10 p.m.
- Sign up through your county. The links and phone numbers for each Maryland county are listed in the next section (alphabetically)
- Use Maryland’s vaccination site locator, including hospitals, local health departments and pharmacies. You will need to contact the clinic indicated to schedule an appointment and then the clinic will verify your eligibility to be vaccinated. - Contact your local pharmacy.
- Pharmacies with online scheduling: Walgreens, Rite Aid, CVS, Safeway, Giant Pharmacy, Walmart, Sam's Club

Virginia
There are many ways to schedule a vaccine in Virginia:
- Find a clinic near you here.
- Call Virginia's statewide call center at 877-829-4682. People there can help you pre-register for an appointment or answer your questions. You can speak with someone in English, Spanish or more than 100 other languages. They are currently prioritizing callers ages 75 and older and people who speak Spanish.
- Reach out to your local pharmacy. Many pharmacies and medical facilities have their own vaccine registration websites. CVS Pharmacy, Giant Foods, Walmart and Sam's Club are scheduling appointments. Bookings are open online.
