October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, but it also Domestic Violence Awareness month.
Saturday I met a courageous woman who has been to hell and back dealing with both breast cancer & spousal abuse. She is Dr.Michelle Craig, a 5-year breast cancer survivor. But her story of surviving spousal abuse was equally compelling.

Even though she is a medical doctor who cousels other women about the signs of abuse, she didn't immediately reconize it in her own life. She didn't endure physical abuse, but was cursed and spat on, enduring emotional abuse. Once she acknowledged what was happening, she knew she had to get out of that poisonous relationship for her well being and for her children's sake.
It was an honor meeting Dr. Craig and her daughter DeLacy.
