Sympathy for the Devil

Hey! Did you just feel that? Ouch!! There it goes again.
Something bizarre and totally unexpected has been pricking at me for the last day or two and I just figured out what it is: Its the tiniest bit of pity for OJ.
I am actually starting to feel sorry for the guy. I know, I know...he got away with killing two people and ought to be in jail now. But the sight of the chubby now 60-year-old former pro baller being dragged around in handcuffs in this latest bit of silliness is just too pathetic to feel anything but sad.

60 years old and all he's been through....and still not an ounce of good sense!!

I have absolutely no sympathy for Simpson. I never doubted his guilt in 1995. If this circus does go to trial however, he cannot be tried for what he may have done then. It's in the past.

I agree - I feel sorry for him as well. He is a pathetic character. And anyone who still sees red at the thought of his escaping conviction for Goldman and Brown needs to ask themselves what, exactly, makes them so mad. Simpson isn't the first rich man who paid a first-rate lawyer to talk his way out of punishment. He won't be the last, either. If you want to protest the whole system, then fine, but if you're just mad at O.J. and O.J. alone, something else is going on. As Chris Rock said, "Black people too happy, white people too mad."

Yeah I can't say I'm feeling sorry for OJ, I really don't care and would rather not be obliged to listen to the saga on regular news.

Its tabloid material IMO... But that's me.

What I do find interesting, and also falls in the tabloid category, is the mad profit mongering of the scraps of this mans life. Items with no intrinsic value other than as collectibles. That the Goldman's intend to profit on, as a way to inflict pain on OJ is very twisted. It even seems that they are profiting on their daughters murder and enjoying it. Almost as if OJ "did them a favor".

This is a strange world we live in, and morality seems lost at times.

I have no interest in these people, and I cannot understand why anyone would.
