The home team may be a thousand miles away but you wouldn't know it in the Metro DC area. Our city and suburbs are home to more University and College alumni associations and clubs than anywhere in America except NYC. Four of the ten largest public universities in the USA say their largest out-of-state alumni chapter is based right here in DC.

It all leads to a great diversity of sports fans.

Photojournalist Greg Guise, a PSU alum, spent Saturday with 400 like minded fans at a watering hole in Arlington's Ballston section as the Nittany Lions did battle with the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame.

Penn State won the game 31-10.
