
Victor McEachin is accused of stabbing a Metro Bus Driver

SILVER SPRING, Md. (WUSA) -- A bus driver was stabbed after fighting with a passenger early Tuesday morning, on his bus route in Montgomery County, police said.
Victor McEachin, 52, of Silver Spring has been charged with first degree assault, second degree assault, and possession of marijuana.
It all started when the bus driver got a complaint that McEachin was masturbating in the back of the bus in the beginning of the bus route at the Silver Spring Metro station at around midnight, police said.
The bus driver went to the back of the bus and confronted McEachin , but found no evidence the he had ever exposed himself to anyone, police said.
The driver warned the McEachin about the complaint and returned to the driver's seat to start his route, police said.
As the driver approached the Wheaton Station stop on his route, McEachin went to the front of the bus to confront the driver, police said. The driver and a female acquaintance sitting near him, began to argue with the McEachin. The driver, the woman and McEachin all got out off the bus and continued the argument, police said.
That's when the driver and the McEachin got into, what police call, a physical altercation.
The fight turned bloody, when McEachin stabbed the driver, police said.
He ran from the scene, but police didn't take long finding him. He was arrested and the knife was recovered, police said.
is currently at the Montgomery County Detention Center where he will be seen by a commissioner.
The bus driver was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening wounds.
