LARGO, Md. (WUSA) -- It was about 8:30 Monday night when Christopher Nock says he realized his car had been burglarized inside the Largo Town Center Metro parking garage. His window was smashed out, his stereo, and electronics were all gone. But it's what happened next that made him panic.

Nock told 9News a suspicious car near his car turned its lights on and began chasing him. Nock said he believed whoever was in that car was responsible for breaking into his black Mustang, and he believed they were coming after him next.

He said, "So I just decided to run, and I ran into the elevator and lost the people that were pursuing me."

Earlier this year in May, a daughter and father were victims of a violent carjacking in the same parking garage. In that case the daughter was shot but survived, and the father was badly beaten before the carjackers made off with their car.

Nock is now hoping security is increased at the station in order to protect Metro riders.

He said, "Everybody should really be vigilant to protect each other. Especially at night at the Metro, and as a community we need to come together to let people know that this really isn't acceptable."

9NEWS NOW contacted Metro Transit Police and Prince George's County Police. Although the victim says about a dozen officers responded there Monday night after the ordeal, police officials say they have no record of the event and could not provide us any details.
