Missing Montgomery Co. woman found dead

ROCKVILLE, Md. — A woman who went missing several days before Christmas in Rockville has been found dead. Police say the body of 51-year-old Sara Hughes was found on Thursday. No foul play is suspected at this time. 

Hughes was last seen leaving a Rockville hospital several days before Christmas. 

She was reported missing to Montgomery County Police and had not been seen since Friday, December 22. 

Police say Hughes was last seen leaving Shady Grove Hospital in the 9900 block of Medical Center Drive in Rockville. 

It is not said if Hughes was a patient or a visitor when she left the hospital and disappeared. 

The investigation into her death is active and ongoing.
