Officials investigated a threat made at Great Mills High School about a month before Tuesday's shooting that left one dead and two other students injured.
It is not clear at this time whether or not the threat made on February 21 is relevant to this day but officials are investigating. The threat appears to have been made on Snapchat.
The shooter was left dead and two other students remain in the hospital. A resource officer was able to react and exchange shots with the shooter.

At this time authorities do not have a motive. The investigation is ongoing.
