1 body, plane debris found off coast of Ocean City

The two people on board were last seen practicing touch-and-gos at the Ocean City Municipal Airport Wednesday evening.

The body of a small plane crash victim was recovered from a plane crash near Ocean City, Md. on Thursday, Maryland State Police confirmed.

The body is that of a man's, wearing the same clothing as the pilot who let Martins Airport on Wednesday.

The Coast Guard, Maryland State Police and Maryland DNR Police will continue to search for other passengers on board once the impending storm passes.

Banica Richard Robinson and Marcson Ngwa were on board the Cessna 172. They were last seen practicing touch-and-gos at the Ocean City Municipal Airport Wednesday evening.

The search for them started after they didn’t return as expected to Martin State Airport in Baltimore County and their plane wasn’t transmitting its location beacon.

A natural resources police helicopter found a sheen off Ocean City at about 11:30 a.m. Thursday. Soon after, search crews found pieces of the plane near the sheen. At around 5 p.m., crews located the body among plane debris.
