Firefighters worked to battle a two-alarm fire in Falls Church Sunday morning.
According to fire officials, it happened in the 500 block of Great Falls Street around 3:50 a.m.
When firefighters arrived, there was fire showing from the single family home.
One person was inside the home but made it out safely.
The resident was transported to a nearby hospital, said authorities.
Officials said firefighters were challenged by hazardous hoarding conditions inside the home.
Fairfax County Fire and Rescue and the Falls Church Volunteer Fire Department were also on the scene to help battle the fire.
Investigators are working to determine what caused the fire.
