ALEXANDRIA, Va. — A person was found dead after a house fire in the Fort Hunt area of Alexandria late Wednesday night, according to Fairfax County Fire and Rescue.
The fire happened at the one-story home located in the 7700 block of Schelhorn Road around 9:42 p.m.
Crews found a person inside of the home and determined he/she was dead.
Officials are currently investigating and waiting on the autopsy results.
