Several people have been displaced after an apartment building caught on fire Friday morning, DC Fire and EMS said.
The fire happened in the 1200 block of Maple View Place in Southeast, D.C. It broke out on the top floor of the three-story building officials said.
Around eight people had to be rescued from the building via portable ladders.
No injuries were reported in the fire.
Officials said it is not clear at this time how many people have been displaced.
