A photograph of Rev. Billy Graham taken in 1972 by Yousuf Karsh, a world-renowned photographer, will be on display at the National Portrait Gallery in the In Memoriam space of the museum on the first floor.

The photograph will be on display through Sunday, March 25.

Graham, a well-known leader of Evangelical Protestanism, drew large crowds when he preached, and his many crusades took him all over the world.

Even though he would speak to large crowds, Graham's personal beliefs revolved around individual salvation.

"My one purpose in life," Graham said, "is to help people find a personal relationship with God, which, I believe, comes through knowing Christ."
