Mahi filet with chia sauce recipe

Chia seeds are an excellent source of omega-3 fatty acids and are rich in antioxidants making them the perfect addition to a variety of meals. Mitsitam Café’s executive chef Freddie J. Bitsoie shares his recipe for a yummy and easy to make Mahi filet with chia sauce.

Ingredients:

  • 2 Mahi Filets
  • 8 oz Blue Berries
  • ½ Onion
  • 2 Garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 Bay leaf
  • 3 Sprigs of Thyme
  • 8 oz Chicken Stalk
  • 1 tbsp Chia Seeds
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Directions:

  1. Sear Mahi with salt and pepper
  2. Sweat the garlic cloves, bay leaf, thyme, onions in heavy bottom pot
  3. Add the berries and stalk
  4. Add the chia seeds
  5. Season with salt and pepper
  6. Serve with the Mahi
