Chia seeds are an excellent source of omega-3 fatty acids and are rich in antioxidants making them the perfect addition to a variety of meals. Mitsitam Café’s executive chef Freddie J. Bitsoie shares his recipe for a yummy and easy to make Mahi filet with chia sauce.
Ingredients:
- 2 Mahi Filets
- 8 oz Blue Berries
- ½ Onion
- 2 Garlic cloves, minced
- 1 Bay leaf
- 3 Sprigs of Thyme
- 8 oz Chicken Stalk
- 1 tbsp Chia Seeds
- Salt
- Pepper
Directions:
- Sear Mahi with salt and pepper
- Sweat the garlic cloves, bay leaf, thyme, onions in heavy bottom pot
- Add the berries and stalk
- Add the chia seeds
- Season with salt and pepper
- Serve with the Mahi
