The weather is finally warming up - here's three FREE things to do in the DMV this weekend!

Spring?! Is that finally you? It’s looking like the weather may finally warm up this weekend so there’s no excuse to get outside and enjoy.

Whether you want to plan a family day at the Emancipation Day Parade or just chill with bae at an art stroll, here’s our round up of the top three FREE things to do in the DMV this weekend:

Emancipation Day Parade—Washington, D.C.

The Emancipation Day Parade commemorates the anniversary of the DC Compensated Emancipation Act of 1862, which ended slavery in the District. Join Mayor Muriel Bowser on Saturday, April 14 from 2pm-8:45pm. The event will include a parade, concert and fireworks.

Craft and Vendor Spring Faire—Burke, VA

You’ll be able to find something for everyone at the annual Women’s Club of Springfield Craft and Vendor Spring Faire. The event will be held on Saturday, April 14 from 10am-3pm and will have everything from jewelry and fashion to home and kitchen décor.

Art Stroll—Berlin, MD

Every second Friday of the month, Jefferson Street transforms into a fair of arts and creative enterprises. Stroll the streets and local businesses from 5-8pm to check out the featured artists and musicians on Friday, April 13.
