There is an event coming to Washington, DC that will cultivate your kid’s passion for learning and showcase the fun of science!

Science Exploration for Kids (SE4K) is an organization dedicated to promoting science, technology, engineering, arts and math (STEAM) enrichment for students. SE4K was founded by current Miss USA, Kára McCullough, a former scientist for the United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission.

SE4K is holding its first ever workshop, “Take Flight with SE4K,” which will provide students living in the greater D.C. area the opportunity to engage in science learning activities focused on teamwork, self-confidence, and career development.

“Take Flight with SE4K” will be held on Saturday, March 24, at the Ronald Reagan National Airport’s Historic Terminal.

“We are excited to officially launch our first interactive day of STEAM related programming to inspire students of all ages who have an interest in these fields,” says SE4K founder and reigning Miss. “Through engaging, hands-on activities, SE4K allows students to expand their interests and build confidence through learning. I am proud of how this program has evolved and look forward to working with these aspirational students during our exciting new workshop.”

Science Exploration for Kids offers a variety interactive science related programs for participants with activities catered to students in grades 3 – 12. The event is free of charge for attendees and is open on a first come first serve basis. Additionally, “Take Flight with SE4K” will provide parents and guardians the opportunity to learn more about SE4K’s tutoring platform as well as student resources for advanced education planning.
