To conduct the NationalToday.com Drink Beer Day Survey, the researchers at National Today —America’s favorite online destination to commemorate quirky and fun holidays—asked 2,000 Americans about everyone's favorite hoppy drink.

36% of Americans say their preferred drink when meeting friends at a bar is beer. Margaritas (17%) and wine (13%) come next, while cosmopolitans (5%) and gin and tonics (4%) round out the top 5.
